Popcore Kid

An unusual subtype of scene kid is the popcore kid. About as far removed from Emo as possible, but retaining a lot of scene-ness, popcore is a relativly new genre, and the 21st centuary equivelent of powerpop.
The term popcore comes from the mixture of the words pop and hardcore, which is what the style is laregly beleived to be, although it is actually a fusion of metalcore/hardcore/scenecore and pop punk moreso than actual pop.
Popcore kids wear bright colors; converses; skinny jeans; sweatbands; band shirts; random vintage things; armwarmers and things with rainbows, stars and other bright colors. Hair is often in a brightly colored version of the emo/scene swoop. They wear eyeliner, and the girls bright colored eye shadow.
Popcore kids often have a strange fondness for retro video games or cartoons, almost always learn the lyrics to their favorite songs, and are generally very happy, stoked on life, and fun people to be around.
Typical popcore bands include Hellogoodbye, Monaco Clothing Heist, All Time Low, Owl City, Boys like girls, and Cobra Starship.
