Yuri Fan

Just as Yaoi Fangirls exist out there, there are Yuri Fanboys. For those of you not familiar with Anime terminology, "yuri" means Girls Love (and "yaoi", Boys Love, respectively) in Japanese, a nation far more open to homosexuality in media than most others.
The difference between a yuri fanboy and a guy who just thinks Girl On Girl Is Hot is that a yuri fanboy is interested in actual Yuri, including the shipping aspects of the fandom, while the latter involves people who may never have seen a Girls Love work in their lives, so long as they get turned on by girl on girl. Otherwise, this would be indistinguishable from "male heterosexual" (and it's already hard to distinguish from regular male fanboys as it is).
Yuri Fangirls also exist, especially since yuri fandom itself comes significantly closer to gender parity than its yaoi counterpart. In fiction, Yuri Fangirls are a popular character type within Girls Love series.
This term of Yuri does not refer to fans of Lowenthal, Lowell, Sakazaki, Volte Hyuuga, that creepy fellow who failed to take over the Soviet Union by mind control back in the '70s, or a 3WA Trouble Consultant... well, there can be some overlap with that last one.
Yuricon is an anime convention geared toward fans of yuri anime and manga. The first Yuricon event was held in 2003 in Newark, New Jersey with about 200 attending, although Yuricon has existed as an online entity since 2000. The event was organized by Yuricon, LLC., which continues to run Yuri-focused events of its own and to collaborate with other organizations to hold unique events. In 2005, Yuricon hosted an event in Tokyo and co-sponsored Onna!, together with the Shoujo Arts Society, which focused on women's roles in animation and comics. In 2007, Yuricon ran a small one-day event to recreate the feel of the Tokyo event from 2005. Admission to convention events is restricted to people over the age of 18.
Yuri Fans listen to songs from yuri anime, or anything with girlxgirl undertones, such as t.A.T.u. They usually wear Yuri or GirlXGirl related T-shirts, with jeans or slacks.
